One of my fondest memories from Afterglow is our League of Legends Coaching Camp. It was incredible to see how many people joined us and to watch the ideas we had been developing around esports coaching come to life over those few days.
Of course, there was plenty of gaming, training and competition, but even then, we believed that developing esports players meant looking beyond the game itself. Health development, personal feedback, shared activities and community experiences were all part of the camp – alongside challenges, competitions and plenty of prizes.
Looking back, what I remember most is how many players, coaches and contributors came together and how quickly a real community formed. To this day, the camp remains one of my favorite memories from Afterglow.
